passports & visas

It’s always worth double-checking that your passport is valid and not expired. At this time, U.S. travelers do not need a visa to enter Ireland. However, the UK is currently requiring a visa- if you are flying into Belfast or London, make sure to fill one out here.

Currency

If you travel into Northern Ireland, the currency changes from Euro (€) to British Pound (£). Euros are sometimes accepted, but typically not at full value.

Tipping is not customary or expected in Ireland, but it is always appreciated.
